I have trained with Monte for almost 7 years! To say he is amazing is an understatement. He is committed to your health and goals and makes the workouts work for you. I first met Monte when I was trying to get in shape for my wedding. What I didn’t realize is that by working out with Monte, I was transforming my lifestyle. The workouts were addictive and he is always changing them up so I don’t get bored, because that’s one of the biggest things I hate about working out, doing the same thing over and over. He introduced me to kickboxing and I fell in love with the results both physically and mentally. I ended up being in the best shape of my life for my wedding and continued to stay in shape afterwards. Monte has worked with me through two pregnancies and post pregnancies. One of which I had limitations but Monte can always find ways to work around those limits and still keep you safe. I couldn’t believe it when this past week I was actually a pound under my starting weight from when I became pregnant with my second child.  What is so incredible is that when I first started my workouts back up after the birth of my second child, I had limited time and my 3 year old running around. Monte dove in and there I was working out with my 3 year old which absolutely made me think it was possible to hit my goals. No matter what, we were going to make it happen! I love the day after our sessions because I am always sore! Monte is more than my trainer, he became my friend.  He checks in on you and really cares about who he works with. Thank goodness I have him in my life to keep me in shape!

Monte has been my trainer for 2 years. Four months of squatting and my butt went from saggy to Kardashian. He focuses on all around training--from diet to strength to cardio. If you're lucky he'll even take you on his hikes through the LA hills. I particularly love his ability to be flexible on scheduling. I travel a lot and work long hours, so, the ability to change my training schedule is important. Monte finds a way to make it work--whether that means early morning, evening or middle of the day. If you're that person that needs encouragement to stay on track with your eating habits, you can count on Monte to check in on you regularly or police your restaurant check-ins on Facebook. He keeps me in shape for my photoshoots. More than a trainer, Monte has become a great friend.

I started training with Monte Cox about a year and a half ago, and since then I have lost 4 inches off my waist and almost 30 pounds.  I visited my cardiologist today for my normal five year check up...EKG, stress test, etc.  The doctor reviewed the analysis and immediately said how pleased he was that my endurance and results were better than they were when I was five years younger! I owe this endurance improvement to Monte and his approach and science to fitness. He knows, better than any personal trainer I have had, how to combined endurance, strength, and stamina training with the mental and attitudinal adjustments that need to take place.

I was at a family reunion last weekend and all people could talk about was how fit I looked.  At first I thought their comments were just nicey nice chatter but as the afternoon went on some of the same people commented again and again.  They asked what I did to stay in shape, how I ate, etc.  I spent most of the time talking to them about the unique work of Monte Cox. And I realized that Monte's work, approach and style is so unique that I really couldn't explain it!  That's how special it is - an experience that is so unique that it is beyond words.  Monte combines endurance, strength, and stamina training with the mental and attitudinal adjustments that need to take place.  It allows me to stay in shape and for the first time ever in life, it is actually hard to gain weight!

I’m often asked how I stay fit when I refuse to step foot in a gym? The answer is, I work out via Skype with Monte Cox.
